Lucia René has been a professional actress, a computer science consultant, and, since publishing her book, Unplugging the Patriarchy, a spiritual mentor.
Her exploration of consciousness, which has spanned over 40 years, drew her to the practices of Hinduism, Zen, Vajrayana Buddhism, and Advaita and culminated in a 17-year apprenticeship to Frederick P. Lenz (aka Rama), an enlightened master of American Buddhism, psychic development, and mysticism.
During this time, she was ordained as a Buddhist monk and lectured on meditation and mysticism at universities throughout the United States.
Between 2002 and 2007, using her mystical training, Lucia collaborated with other female mystics to identify the hidden energy structures underlying our economic-social-political systems, deconstructed her personal buy-ins to those structures, and offered herself in service to facilitate the dismantling of the structures themselves and their vice-grip on the global collective consciousness.
In July 2010, after many years of self-investigation and selfless service, Lucia experienced the death of her body, but agreed to come back in order to continue her dharmic work in the third dimension. The result was the complete dissolution of her egoic structure and a profound spiritual awakening.
In 2010 and 2011, her dharmic work shifted from unplugging the Patriarchy to rebalancing the feminine/masculine energies on the planet. To this end, she worked with women around the world in workshops and teleconferences to help them throw off their conditioning in order to stand more fully in their power, and with mixed groups of men and women to help them reclaim their connection with the sacred energy of the Divine Feminine. At the end of August 2011, with the splitting of the worlds, Lucia felt that her dharmic work of rebalancing the feminine/masculine was complete.
As of 2013, she devotes herself full-time to A.W.A.K.E.N.—Academy for Women Actualizing Knowledge of Everyday Nirvana—overseeing the operational aspects of the academy and helping students accelerate their spiritual growth through her role on the faculty.
Lucia’s strong suit is her ability to communicate, in crystal clear terms, complex spiritual ideas. Her speciality is mysticism—the ability to navigate alternate dimensions—and she uses the sacred voice to help others do the same. Her greatest passion is the empowerment and enlightenment of women.
